The Think Build Live Success program is comprised of three books that can be used individually or together as a progressive program. The material is rich enough to be taught as a stand-alone class, and flexible enough to be integrated into existing courses and offerings. We offer comprehensive support materials including a Teaching Leader's Guide, Student Survival Guides customized by region, career readiness videos, motivational posters, and a financial literacy website.
Unlike many of the student success programs currently on the market, which offer a one-size-fits-all formula for success, TBLS takes a non-didactic approach to self-improvement; putting the student in the driver’s seat from the very first exercise. We feel that real, sustainable change only comes when students take an active role in their own learning and development-and that’s what TBLS facilitates-through a dynamic, exercise-driven process of self-discovery.
The key life skills students need to help them navigate the road to independence are not typically taught in a classroom; skills like organization, healthy eating, goal setting, effective study habits, stress reduction, money management, and self-motivation. Without these, students can easily lose their way; with them, students build a sense of competence, confidence, and direction. This helps make transitions easier, and dramatically increases students’ chances for success in school and beyond.

Through a process of self-discovery and skill development, students learn to identify the thought patterns, styles of communication, and modes of behavior that are, and are not working for them, as well as techniques for self-motivating, creating and achieving goals, communicating effectively, starting down a well-matched career path, and staying on track with a sustainable plan of action. Book 2 utilizes targeted exercises, group activities, class discussion, inspirational films, motivational games, and other creative means to make every lesson engaging and relevant to real life.

The Teaching Leader’s Guide was designed as a training tool for anyone facilitating the TBLS program, but is also a great 'teaching best practices' guide for any new educator. It is ideal for those educators who believe that teaching is more than just giving over information; more than getting students to do their homework; more than ensuring high test scores. It is for those who know that teachers have the power to change the world-and are committed to doing so-one student at a time. The TL guide encourages teachers to see themselves as leaders-appreciating the great opportunities, as well as the responsibility that comes with leadership. Emphasizing experiential learning, the guide offers an extensive and diverse array of tips, tools, techniques, and resources, to support teachers and educators.
